Located on the Rennsteig – a ridge path and historical border path through Germany’s most beautiful mountains. The famous long-distance hiking trail Rennsteig is also often referred to as the Jacobsweg of Germany. Our Hotel Kammweg offers visitors of the Thuringian Forest modern comfort and an impressive panoramic view with its 91 available rooms and apartments. The rooms are spread over five individually designed floors. You have the choice between the categories Classic, Superior, and Deluxe. For families, we offer two directly adjacent double rooms or our apartments, with 2 separate bedrooms ideal for four people. The barrier-free rooms on the ground floor each have a terrace. We are also happy to welcome well-behaved dogs, subject to prior booking and a fee of €18 per night. Please note, however, that due to hygiene regulations, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.
Classic Rooms
We offer single and double rooms in the Classic category. These rooms are usually 24–26 m² in size and offer views of the countryside.
All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, a make-up mirror, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

Superior Rooms
Our Superior double rooms are between 24-33m² in size and partially renovated. Some have a bay window and even offer a separate seating area. All Superior double rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi.

Deluxe Rooms
Our newly renovated Deluxe double rooms are approximately 33m² in size. The rooms partly have a separate seating area, balcony, and a fantastic view of the valley. The Deluxe category rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Our Deluxe Bay Window Rooms also feature a safe and a minibar.
